Welcome
Welcome to the web site for the Eastern North Carolina
Shag Club (ENCSC). We invite you to browse our site and enter the
fun-filled shagger's lifestyle of Eastern North Carolina.
History
The Eastern North
Carolina Shag Club (ENCSC) is a "non-profit" dance club founded in 1985.
Our club is a member of the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs, an
organization of over 100+ non-profit shag clubs stretching from
Baltimore to Miami, and pushing further West every day as the fin-filled
shagger's lifestyle is experienced by more and more people.
Who We Are
The Eastern North Carolina Shag Club is
an organization that enjoys, upholds and perpetuates the traditions of
rhythm and blues beach and shag music, and shag dancing. Most of
our members belong to the 40+ "baby boomer" era, but we encourage and
support dancers of all ages to come join and see who we are.
Where We Meet
Currently, the ENCSC "home base" is the
City Hotel and Bistro, Greenville Boulevard, Greenville, NC where we
meet every Sunday evening to socialize and dance. Our business meeting
is held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm at the City Hotel.
